The curvaceous and quirky Old City set of building blocks is handmade by Raduga Grez in Russia. Part of their Slavic Fairytale collection, these blocks celebrate the shapely onion domes of Slavic architecture as well as its traditions and handicrafts. Historically, wood was probably the most popular construction material in traditional Russian architecture. Frequently surrounded by forests, this was the best choice for building houses and churches, and was often colored to add decorative elements to the buildings.
