Toys meant to be kept, not outgrown.
A family-run shop in Los Angeles, California, online since 2020. We carry wooden toys, Waldorf dolls, and open-ended play sets, sourced from makers we know by name. Each piece is chosen to scale across a childhood, and to last for the sibling who comes after.

Tiny Fox Hole, hand-carved to order.
A tiny family workshop in Europe carving ash and birch by hand. Our first pre-order: birthday rings, woodland animals, and keepsake announcement puzzles.

New and quietly loved.
A few from the shop this week, including pieces from our range of felt florals.
02 / Bestsellers
What keeps coming home.
Four pieces we restock more often than the rest. Tested by your neighbors, kept on every shelf.
03 / Gifts under $50
Small, but kept for years.
For aunts, grandparents, and last-minute baskets. Each one heirloom enough to outlast the season.
04 / Heirloom favorites
For the next sibling, and the next.
The pieces parents tell us they'll keep. Hand-stitched, hand-carved, and built to be passed down.
05 / Shop by age
The right toy, by the year.
Most parents shop by age. We sort by the developmental window each toy actually opens, so the gift lands in the right season.
06 / Shop by category
The shelves, sorted by hand.
Nine collections, curated against a single criterion: a toy is worth keeping if it scales across childhood and across a sibling.

The makers we keep coming back to.
Heirloom workshops from Europe, family studios from Australia and the U.S., and small makers we found ourselves. Every brand vetted for safety, materials, and a finish that survives a sibling.
Hand-sewn in Sonoma County, by the makers at Fairyshadow.
Every Fairyshadow doll is designed and sewn by hand in a Sonoma County home studio by doll-maker Tania Prosser and her daughters, Megan and Emily. The bodies are soft cotton-blend velour, the stuffing is locally produced wool, and each one is made in small batches, so no two friends ever wear quite the same expression.
Every face is finished by one pair of hands: embroidered freehand on the dolls, hundreds of stitches through velour and wool, and inked one at a time on the tiniest critters, whose heads are cotton knit over a little wooden ball. No pattern, no printing, ever. Tania has been making Waldorf-inspired friends this way for more than twenty years, one at a time.
Every face is made by hand. No pattern, no printing, just a needle or a pen deciding who this little one will be.Shop Fairyshadow
A small toy shop, with a big heart.
My Toy Wagon began with a simple inspiration: our two daughters, Hafsa and Noor. They are the heartbeat of the shop, the reminders that childhood is fleeting, and that the toys we choose for it matter.
We carefully curate wooden and felt toys that hold up to real play, that scale across ages, and that pass quietly to a younger sibling. Most orders are packed and shipped by hand from our shop in Los Angeles.
