Why it lasts.
Nine distinct flavors give a child a real menu to run. They take orders, scoop and stack, count servings, name colors, and trade one flavor for another, alone or with a friend. The play scales with the child, from a toddler lining up scoops to an older child running a busy parlor with prices and regulars.
Each piece is ethically hand-felted from 100 percent New Zealand wool and colored with azo-free dye that is safe for children and pets. Materials & construction
Two felt waffle cones, sized for little hands, and nine scoops: rainbow, chocolate mint, vanilla with chocolate chips, chocolate caramel swirl, strawberry with heart sprinkles, green apple sorbet, raspberry sorbet, orange sorbet, and mango sorbet. Every piece is ethically hand-felted from 100 percent New Zealand wool and colored with azo-free dye that is safe for children and pets. Each cone stands about 14 cm, each scoop about 9 cm, and a served cone reaches about 28 cm. Because each piece is hand-felted, small variations are part of the craft. The cone holder is sold separately.
Ways to play
Take turns as shopkeeper and customer, reading the nine flavors aloud and counting scoops into each cone. Sort the scoops by color, then build the tallest serving a cone will hold. Add a felt mat or play kitchen for a full parlor, and pair the set with the matching cone holder so finished cones can stand on display.
