Every piece is hand-felted from 100% New Zealand wool in Nepal, shaped without molds, so no two cookies or pumpkins are identical. The bag is felted thick enough to hold its shape empty, which is what stops it collapsing into a cloth once the food is tipped out.

Materials & construction

Each piece is crafted from 100% New Zealand wool felt. The wool is colored with azo-free, azo-free dyes, verified under OEKO-TEX Standard 100. Every component, including structural threads and dyes, is cleared of over 100 harmful substances. The finished pieces contain no plastic, no batteries, and no synthetic fill.

These pieces are made in Kathmandu, Nepal, by a cooperative of over 350 women artisans, the majority of whom are mothers. Each is shaped through traditional needle-felting and wet-felting, without molds or machines. Tara Treasures is a Fair Trade Certified brand, which audits fair wages and safe working conditions. Your purchase directly supports the economic independence of the women who made it.

Care & storage

Spot clean with a damp cloth and a little mild soap, then let everything air dry away from direct heat. Do not machine wash or tumble dry, because wool felt will shrink and lose its shape. Store the pieces inside the bag so the set stays together and nothing goes missing. Contains small parts and is not suitable for children under 3 years.
