T-lab. is Japanese company that manufactures unique, handcrafted wooden products from natural materials. Their famous collection of 'polepole animals' are lovingly hand-carved and polished by a team of artisans in Bali. Indonesia. Sanded to a soft buttery-smooth feel, each animal is then finished and hand-painted by craftspeople in Kobe, Japan with tender expressions and subtle markings.
'Polepole animals' are made from high-quality and all natural Albizia Farcata wood, a lightweight and eco-sustainable white wood native to the South Pacific.
'Polepole,' a Swahili term for "slowly, slowly," refers to the time it takes to craft the whimsical creatures by hand.
These wooden animals are cadmium and lead-free. They are considered craft items/decor, and not toys,,,,, proper.
