Materials & construction

The big dinosaur and its baby are each carved from maple wood and finished with non-toxic, water-based paint. Each is a single solid piece, with no small parts to come loose.

Bumbu hand-carves and hand-paints its toys in Romania. Because each piece is worked by hand, the grain and the exact colors vary slightly from one to the next. The wood keeps its natural texture, so light marks and color variation are normal.

Care & storage

Wipe clean with a dry or barely damp cloth. Do not soak, submerge, or put it in the dishwasher, as standing water can lift the paint and raise the grain. Kept away from direct heat and damp, the set will stay good for years; if the surface ever looks dry, a little beeswax polish brings the color back.
