A little wooden home on wheels. The roof lifts, the doors swing, and the whole family of dolls and little animals moves in. Children steer it across the floor, park it by the window, and rearrange the furniture inside and out: two chairs, a table, a kitchen counter with a sink, and a pot that becomes soup or a campfire stew, depending on the day.

The cabin seats stay fixed up front, so there is always a driver ready for the next trip. It turns an afternoon into a road trip and a corner of the room into somewhere far away.

Why it lasts.

Drewart works in alder, a close-grained European hardwood that takes knocks without splintering, and finishes it with natural linseed oil instead of varnish. That is why it can be steered, parked, and handed down: the surface wears in rather than out. Each van is hand-shaped, so the grain, the knots, and the finish differ slightly on every one. No two are quite alike, and that is the point.

Who it's for

For the parent
At home it lives wherever the play is: on the rug, under the table, parked by the bed. Your child loads in their dolls and small animals, moves the furniture from room to room, and rolls it on quiet rubber wheels. It folds into the small-world play you already own and holds attention long after a noisier toy has gone quiet. It is built for play on the floor, not for riding.
For the educator
In the classroom it anchors a dramatic-play or small-world station: children load and unload passengers, narrate journeys, and sequence a trip from packing to arrival. The rearrangeable furniture invites sorting and spatial reasoning, and the open cabin lets two or three children play side by side. It sits well on a low shelf in a prepared environment and holds up to daily handling.
For the gift-giver
This is the gift that gets gasped at, then played with every day after. It arrives complete, the van and its furniture together, so there is nothing else to buy to begin. It suits the family that loves wooden, lasting things, and it is open-ended enough to grow with a child instead of being outgrown.

Ways to play.

Pack the van, choose a driver, and set off across the living room. Park for the night, lift the roof, and arrange the chairs, the table, and the kitchen counter into a tiny home. Cook in the pot, welcome a visitor, then load everyone up and drive somewhere new. The story resets every time the wheels start turning.

Materials & construction

The Drewart Camper Van is made from alder, a close-grained European hardwood chosen for its strength and smooth finish. It is coated with natural linseed oil rather than varnish, the wheels are rubber, and a few elements are finished in non-toxic acrylate paint. The wood is left unvarnished, so it keeps its natural grain and can be re-oiled over the years.

Drewart has worked in wood for more than forty years, crafting its toys in Poland. Every piece is hand-shaped, so the grain, knots, and finish vary slightly from one to the next. Drewart toys are CE marked, tested to the European toy safety standard EN 71, and made from FSC-certified wood from responsibly managed forests.

Care & storage

Wipe clean with a dry or barely damp cloth, then dry it right away. Do not soak the wood or leave it sitting in water, since standing moisture can raise the grain or loosen a joint over time. If the wood ever looks dry or pale, rub in a little food-safe oil, such as linseed or a board oil, and buff off the excess. Store it somewhere dry and out of direct sun or a hot radiator, which can fade or crack natural wood. Small marks and a softening patina are normal on an oiled, unvarnished toy and are part of how it ages.
