This Drewart Kitchen is an heirloom-quality Waldorf kitchen with a sink and stove combination.  Made from solid alder wood, the kitchen comes with a wooden stove, enamel sink, and two hotplates. The door to the oven opens and closes. There are storage compartments on the bottom shelf to store your child's favorite kitchen play toys and a side dispenser which comes with a roll of paper towels or towels.   

This is sure to be a beloved toy.

  • To extend the height of the kitchen (18 1/4"), a base can be purchased separately here. The base will add another 4 3/4" in height to the kitchen. See the last picture

  • Made of alder wood, a finely-grained sustainable hardwood; coated with linseed oil and natural oils

Being hand-crafted, each of Drewart's beautiful wooden toys is unique, with slightly different shaping, paint finishes, wood grain, texture, and occasional wood knots showing. Please note they are not varnished. 

 

Imperfections on the enamel sink are common.

    It is adorable. The quality and craftsmanship was above a d beyond what I expected. Absolutely perfect. My adult kids are arguing who will inherent it!

    Size: addressing some comments I have read about this being so small - yes, it is! So are children. And I quite like it. Children do not need a full sized kitchen, nor have I found they bemoan small counter space as adults do. My children happily have played with a kitchen made for an 18” doll, so when I read about the size, I wasn’t concerned. While I do own the base and currently use it, even without the base, the kitchen is tall enough to please my nearly-5 and almost-2 year old children, and they are both above the 90th percentile for height.

    Aesthetic: yes, all there! I love color, and I really love natural materials. You’ll notice this isn’t “colorful,” but it’s a wonderful blank slate of sorts near which for me to add a shelf of our little floral tea set, or hang a delightful print, or outfit with all our colorful food and pots and pans. This keeps things from being visually overwhelming. And yet, it’s not “blank.” So much care and attention was clearly given to every detail of this piece.

    Practical matters: it seems very sturdy, nothing seems lose or threatening to fall off, and it is easily wiped clean. And it came out of the box ready to be played with (with the exception of the paper towel dowel, which we opted to not install anyway).

    My one complaint: this actually hasn’t to do with THIS product, but rather in conjunction with the add-on stand. I also purchased the stand, and I am thankful for this option. I think, however, that it would be beneficial to create some way for the stand to securely connect to the kitchen, because my 2-year-old has pulled the kitchen down on himself twice. He’s learned his lesson, but I will certainly have to take it off this stand when future, littler children are playing with it.

    This is very well made and it’s beautiful. It is WAY smaller than I realized. It’s perfect for my one year old but she will outgrow it more quickly than I thought.
