This is a mat made for slow, imaginative exploration. Rolling hills, a winding river, a wooden bridge, a dense forest, a meadow, and a snug bear cave stretch across 80 cm of soft wool felt, giving children a whole landscape to move through. One felt bear comes along to explore it all.
Ethically hand-felted from New Zealand wool by artisans in Nepal, and colored with azo-free dyes that are safe for children and pets. At 80 cm long, it works on a tabletop or on the floor, and rolls up and fastens with a button when the day is done.
Woodland animal figurines from Schleich, CollectA, or Safari Ltd pair beautifully with this landscape, though none beyond the included bear are part of this listing.
