Materials & construction

Each piece is needle-felted by hand in Nepal from 100% New Zealand wool, worked until it is dense and firm enough to hold its shape through years of play. The colors come from azo-free dyes, and the materials are certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100.

Care & storage

Spot clean with a damp cloth and a little mild soap, then let it air dry. Do not machine wash or soak, since water can loosen the felt.

Wool naturally resists dirt, so most of the time a light brush and some fresh air is all it needs. Store it dry, away from direct sun.

Tara Treasures Founded by Jooli Chan and Jag Gurung after the 2015 Nepal earthquake, Tara Treasures hand-felts its pieces in workshops there, working with more than 350 women artisans in New Zealand wool. Colors come from azo-free dyes.
