Maple, left untreated where the wood is bare and hand-painted where it is colored. The wings are raw maple rather than finished, so the grain itself does the work of the wing texture.

Care & storage

Wipe with a dry or barely damp cloth. Keep it out of standing water and away from direct heat, and store it flat so nothing presses on the wingtips.
