From three, and it keeps working for years because the patterns stay interesting after the dough stops being novel.

Why it lasts.

We carry Q Toys at My Toy Wagon because they finish wood to be felt rather than sealed smooth, and because they make under a Fair Trade scheme in Vietnam with a zero-waste principle behind the material choices.

Who it's for

For the parent
Nine rollers means nine different results from the same lump of dough, which is what stops the activity ending after five minutes.
For the educator
A dough table staple. The board contains the mess and the rollers give a group nine things to trade.
For the gift-giver
It pairs with any dough and turns a cheap consumable into a proper activity.

Ways to play.

Roll the dough and print patterns across it. Compare the nine rollers side by side. Use the tools to cut and lift. Press natural things into the dough instead, leaves, shells, bark.
