A hand-felted meadow in bloom, new greens across the whole surface and just enough detail to start a story. A quiet pond, a cozy burrow, a red toadstool, and a little garden of carrots, cabbages, and turnips are all felted right in, with wildflowers and daisies scattered through the grass. Children walk their own animals across the mat and build a whole world. It reads as a place rather than a picture, and leaves the rest to the child.

Materials & construction

Each piece is made from 100% New Zealand wool, hand-felted and finished without plastics or synthetic binders. Because every piece is made by hand, slight variation in shape and color is natural and expected. Made by skilled Nepali women artisans working with high-quality wool, to designs created by Little Brood.

The dyes are non-toxic and child-safe.

Care & storage

Spot clean with a lightly damp cloth and a drop of mild soap. Do not submerge in water, machine wash, or wring: the hand-felted fibers will shrink and lose their shape permanently if saturated. Air dry flat, away from direct heat and sunlight. Store flat in a dry place.
