Meet Twiggy, the baby sister of the Twig Spoon: ten centimeters of carved wood, about a half-teaspoon's worth of very serious potion-making capacity, shaped like a delicate twig that happened to grow a spoon.

Small hands love small tools. Twiggy stirs the tiny cauldrons, measures the fairy ingredients, and fits the play kitchens the big spoons cannot.

Why it lasts.

We carry Wild Mountain Child because these are real tools, not toy-shaped props: hand-carved, hand-sanded, and hand-polished from Doussie plantation timber by Vietnamese artisans in a traditional craft village, finished in food-grade oil, and designed in Australia by a mother who watched her own child's sensory play and built the tools it was missing. No two are the same, and that is the point.

Who it's for

For the parent
Sized for the smallest chef in the house: a first stirring spoon that fits the hand it was meant for.
For the educator
A half-teaspoon measure in disguise: fine motor work, transfer activities, and tiny-quantity science.
For the gift-giver
The perfect small extra: a hand-carved miniature that makes a gift feel curated rather than padded.

Ways to play.

Stir fairy potions, measure mud-kitchen spices, transfer beads and seeds, and set the tiniest table. Twiggy's twin in the range is Branchling, the mini branch spoon, and together they are the small pair every play kitchen wants.

Details

Materials & construction

Hand-carved, hand-sanded, and hand-polished from Doussie, a Vietnamese plantation timber from responsibly managed sources, then finished with food-grade oil. Free of harmful chemicals, paints, and toxins, with a smooth, splinter-free finish. Grain and carving vary piece to piece; that variation is the handwork showing, not a defect.

Care & storage

Play in water is fine; just don't leave it submerged for days. Towel-dry after wet play, refresh the wood now and then with a rub of beeswax or vegetable oil, use only mild dish soap if needed, and never the dishwasher.
