This felt home is shaped like a whole strawberry, a red berry below and a green leafy roof above, finished with hand-stitched seams, small white flowers, and two tiny berries nodding on green stems up top. The door opens to let a fairy in or out, and the leaf roof lifts off so a child can reach inside or set it down as a little flowering garden of its own.

The shape gives it a character all its own. A child looks at it and decides who lives here, the particular fairy who would choose a strawberry for a home and no one else. It pairs naturally with the Tiny Luna Home and the Tiny Rainbow Shimmer Home, each a different shape and color, so a shelf can slowly become a small felt village.

It is the kind of piece a child returns to with the same fairy day after day, and the kind that stays in a collection for years.

Why it lasts.

We carry this because the strawberry shape gives it a character of its own. A home this particular stops being just another toy and becomes a place, the one a child keeps coming back to year after year.

Who it's for

For the parent
The door opens and the whole leafy roof lifts off, so a child can move a fairy in, tuck her down for the night, and lift the roof to check on her in the morning. The strawberry shape makes it unmistakable, the kind of home a child decides belongs to one particular fairy and keeps coming back to.
For the educator
Its shape does the storytelling work for you. Children see a strawberry house and immediately have somewhere to begin, who lives here and what grows nearby, so play starts on its own. It is small and self-contained, easy to set on a nature table or a seasonal shelf and just as easy to put away.
For the gift-giver
It arrives ready to give, handmade and instantly recognizable as exactly what it is. It sits happily beside woodland or garden figures, and next to your other felt homes it becomes one more house in a growing village, which makes it easy to add to year after year.

Details

Materials & construction

Each piece is made from 100% natural sheep's wool, sourced directly from Australia and New Zealand for its quality and purity. The wool is tested to the CE standard and colored with non-toxic, child-safe dyes. No synthetic binders, adhesives, plastics, or formaldehydes are used at any stage. The fibers are bound entirely through hand-felting: layers of wool pressed in warm, soapy water until the natural barbs lock permanently into a dense, resilient sheet. Every finished piece is hand-sewn without molds or machines.

Himalayan Felt Co. was founded by Lobsang and Miranda, who began traveling to Nepal to import felt and eventually opened their own dedicated factory there. Every piece is made by local Nepalese women, employed directly by the company: taught traditional felt-making skills, given a safe and family-friendly place to work, and paid a fair wage. Himalayan Felt Co. toys are CE marked and tested to the European toy safety standard, EN71. Because every piece is made by hand, slight variation in shape and color is natural and expected.

Ways to play

Nestle the home among felt leaves, stones, or moss as a strawberry garden hideaway. Open the door and tuck a fairy or hedgehog inside. Lift the roof to reveal the interior above. Pair with the Tiny Felt Luna Home or the Tiny Felt Rainbow Shimmer Home to build a small felt village, each home with its own resident and its own story.

Care & storage

Spot clean with a lightly damp cloth and a drop of mild soap. Do not submerge in water, machine wash, or wring: the hand-felted fibers will shrink and lose their shape permanently if saturated. Air dry flat, away from direct heat and sunlight. Store in a dry place. Natural dyes may mellow gently over years of use; this is a characteristic of the material, not a defect.
