Materials & construction

The Cattails are carved from maple and beech wood and finished with non-toxic, water-based paint. The piece is a single solid form, with no small parts to come loose.

Bumbu hand-carves and hand-paints its toys in Romania. Because each piece is worked by hand, the grain and the exact tone vary slightly from one to the next. The wood keeps its natural texture, so light marks and color variation are normal.

Care & storage

Dust it or wipe it with a barely damp cloth, then dry it; skip soaking and the dishwasher entirely. Away from heat and damp it keeps for a very long time, and if the color ever dulls, a touch of beeswax polish brings it back.
