Beautiful doll, bigger and stiffer than I imagined

This doll is very intricate and beautifully made. It has a metal or wire frame that gives the doll its shape and allows it to be bendable. It’s pretty but again a bit stiff. Hoping one day to come across soft naturally made dolls. This will be lovely for part of a kids collection and to play make believe with. Could see adults loving it as well. If baby takes to it, might buy the butterfly doll as well.

Materials & construction

Made from 100% sheep's wool sourced from Australia and New Zealand, hand-felted and hand sewn in Nepal by artisans working under fair trade conditions. The dyes and wool are non-toxic. Because each piece is shaped entirely by hand, slight variations give every one its own character.

Care & storage

Spot clean with a lightly damp cloth and a drop of mild soap. Do not submerge in water, machine wash, or wring: the hand-felted fibers will shrink and lose their shape permanently if saturated. Air dry flat, away from direct heat and sunlight. Store in a dry place. Natural dyes may mellow gently over years of use; this is a characteristic of the material, not a defect.
