One sunflower tool, two jobs: a slotted strainer on one end of the bowl and a solid spoon on the other, so the same piece that holds a fizzing potion above the water also stirs, scoops, and serves the mud-kitchen menu.

Built for the pause: it gives PlayFizz, petals, and treasures a place to bubble and be watched a little longer, instead of vanishing in one enthusiastic pour.

Why it lasts.

We carry Wild Mountain Child because these are real tools, not toy-shaped props: hand-carved, hand-sanded, and hand-polished from Doussie plantation timber by Vietnamese artisans in a traditional craft village, finished in food-grade oil, and designed in Australia by a mother who watched her own child's sensory play and built the tools it was missing. No two are the same, and that is the point.

Who it's for

For the parent
Two tools in one piece of wood, half the clutter in the mud kitchen crock, twice the jobs it gets picked up for.
For the educator
Strainer and spoon in a single tool: fewer pieces to track outdoors, more functions per setup.
For the gift-giver
The clever one of the range: a hand-carved dual tool that reads as a small sculpture on the shelf.

Ways to play.

Strain on one end, stir and scoop with the other: potion play, fizz observation, sand kitchens, and water-table fishing with a single tool. Works as a set with the Treasure Bowl and the rest of the Wild Tree Tools range.

What families found.

Details

Materials & construction

Hand-carved, hand-sanded, and hand-polished from Doussie, a Vietnamese plantation timber, then finished with food-grade oil. Free of harmful chemicals, paints, and toxins, with a smooth, splinter-free finish. Grain and carving vary piece to piece; that variation is the handwork showing, not a defect.

Care & storage

Play in water is fine; just don't leave it submerged for days. Towel-dry after wet play, refresh the wood now and then with a rub of beeswax or vegetable oil, use only mild dish soap if needed, and never the dishwasher.
