The rainmaker features three attached compartments, which are filled with colorful balls that make noise as they move through the holes between compartments. Turn the tower upside down and watch the balls come down. Good Rattle, Not Instrument

This will be a Christmas present for my baby. From playing with it myself, it seems to be more of a rattle and less of a musical instrument. Calling it a "rain maker" is a stretch. I did not hear "a pitter patter of raindrops." The balls don't "cascade down," but they do respond well to shaking. Looks well made.

Lovely Toy

This has been on my wishlist for my baby girl since before she was born but it was out of stock everywhere! It didn’t disappoint upon arrival. The sound it makes is lovely and it is built beautifully. Being able to preorder it and know I would have it in time for her for Christmas this year was wonderful.
