Ten graduated wooden blocks in ten colors — the classic Cuisenaire-rod concept rendered in Bauspiel's substantial, heirloom-grade alder. Children build the rainbow staircase, count by tens, line up sizes from one to ten, or combine the blocks with other Bauspiel pieces for color-coded architectural play.
The Stepped Blocks are the math set educators reach for when they want the abstraction of number concepts to live in something a child can hold. Magnitude, sequence, fraction, addition — all visible as a physical staircase on the table.
Educator notes: The classroom math manipulative that also passes as a beautiful object on the shelf. Pairs naturally with the Bauspiel Color Track, Lucent Cubes, and other architectural blocks for combined number-and-architecture play.
Specs: 10 wooden stepped blocks in 10 colors. Handcrafted in Germany by Bauspiel from sustainably sourced alder, finished with child-safe natural oil. Ages 3+.
Orders ship from our warehouse in Los Angeles in 1 to 4 business days, unless otherwise stated. For pre-orders, please see the product listing for expected shipping dates. During the holiday season, processing time may take longer.
Free shipping on orders of $150 or more within the contiguous 48 USA. For orders under $150, we charge $9.95 to the 48 USA. Shipping rates to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, Guam, and APO/FPO/DPO are calculated at checkout.
We currently offer limited shipping to Canada, China, France, Japan, and Mexico via U.S. Postal Service, UPS, DHL, or FedEx.

If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, you may return it within 30 days for a refund (less promotional discounts and shipping charges).
At this time, we only offer free returns in cases of damage or defect from transit or manufacturing. All other purchases will be subject to a return fee based on return shipping charges.
