Huckleberry Pocket Boomerang

A real wooden boomerang sized to fit a pocket. Two pieces pivot together and a string holds them in flight position; once thrown, the boomerang returns the way ancient boomerangs did — physics, not mystery.

Learning to throw it is a project: read the wind, hold the boomerang vertically, throw with a flick of the wrist. The reward is genuinely surprising the first time it loops back to your hand.

Educator notes: A schoolyard physics demonstration that becomes a recess game. Best in open spaces — playgrounds, fields, beaches. Pair with a Huckleberry compass for direction-of-the-wind work.
