We have discounted our remaining 4 in 1 table easels. These easels are made of Australian pine and feature knots, natural timber blemishes, dark markings, and watermarks. These features are natural and each easel will have some of them. These natural markings do not detract from its use as an easel.

The 4 in 1 Table Easel is Q Toys' best-selling table top easel, perfect for a smaller playroom or space. Handmade from sustainably sourced Australian pine, it also offers a smaller ecological footprint.

Why an easel?

As painter and arts educator Kate Mangold explains, “The point of an easel is to get a child standing up and moving their marks," i.e., the squiggles, lines, and dots they make with whatever drawing instrument or paint they’re using, and “to engage large motor skills like shoulder rotation and core strength.” Using an easel can help kids develop hand-eye coordination and “expressive language, as well as social-emotional and cognitive skills."

The popular Q Toys portable wooden 4 in 1 table easel features a blackboard, whiteboard, magnetic and perspex (acrylic) board (provided through an insert) with a stationary tray. The magnetic board can be found on the black board. The black board is covered with layers of magnetic paint and requires a strong magnet to adhere to it. This board will work with small magnets

At this time, we only offer free returns in cases of damage or defect from transit or manufacturing. All purchases will be subject to a return fee based on return shipping charges.

This has lots of bumps in the wood, some areas of the wood that are splintered slightly, and you can see the nails which I wasn’t expecting. The blackboard is clearly painted as you can see areas around the edge where they missed and it looks a bit messy and unfinished and wasn’t too easy to use chalk on. The acrylic board you need a heat gun or hairdryer to open it and I have neither and wish that that was mentioned in the listing description. When I opened the box there was a screw rolling around on the bottom. The magnetic board is basically non existent and won’t work with common magnetic toys like connetix. Only extremely strong magnets and I haven’t found any in my home that work on it.

Edit: Customer service is amazing! They reached out to me and worked this. This is one of the pros to going with a small business compared to ordering from Amazon.

Like others have said, there are some quarks that are a bit of a pain, but for the price point I got it, I can't complain, plus my daughter enjoys using it.

Great item!

Perfect for small spaces! Grandkids will love! Haven't had the troubles yet that were in reviews. Haven't tried magnets yet, but will soon!

This easel is the perfect size for sitting at the table for painting or a craft!

Frustrating Item

I was excited to get this for tabletop play with my son. I had lots of magnetic play planned, but the magnetic portion doesn’t really work. Even strong magnets won’t stay put— the only one we’ve found is a very thin, very lightweight magnet. It’s a little cumbersome to switch out the inserts. Overall not really what I was expecting.

So disappointing

It is a no all the way around for me. Not impressed at all. From the quality to the design everything is poorly executed.

Could be better

The easel could be better. The different panels are difficult to slide into place. The chalk board panel is very rough and hard to write on. The wooden frame of the easel is also rough. I wouldn't recommend it.
