A cup, a scoop, a bowl, a mud-mixing vessel, and yes, honestly, a rather good coffee mug. The Leaf Cup sits on a sturdy perch with finger holes for small hands to carry it, and the carved leaf handle doubles as a resting place for botanicals and crystals while the next great mud pie comes together.

It is the vessel of the whole range, the piece the strainers rest on, the spoons serve into, and the potions live in.

Why it lasts.

We carry Wild Mountain Child because these are real tools, not toy-shaped props: hand-carved, hand-sanded, and hand-polished from Doussie plantation timber by Vietnamese artisans in a traditional craft village, finished in food-grade oil, and designed in Australia by a mother who watched her own child's sensory play and built the tools it was missing. No two are the same, and that is the point.

Who it's for

For the parent
The one piece that does cup, scoop, and bowl duty in the mud kitchen, and moonlights as your own coffee mug.
For the educator
A carry-safe vessel with finger holes for transfer work, pouring practice, and potion stations.
For the gift-giver
The heirloom of the range: a hand-carved cup with a leaf for a handle, beautiful enough for the open shelf.

Ways to play.

Mix mud, brew potions, scoop sand, carry stream water by the finger holes, and rest crystals on the leaf handle between spells. The Daisy Strainer was shaped to sit right on top of it, and the Wildflower Pouring Cup is its pouring twin.

Details

Materials & construction

Hand-carved, hand-sanded, and hand-polished from Doussie, a Vietnamese plantation timber, then finished with food-grade oil. Free of harmful chemicals, paints, and toxins, with a smooth, splinter-free finish. Grain and carving vary piece to piece; that variation is the handwork showing, not a defect.

Care & storage

Play in water is fine; just don't leave it submerged for days. Towel-dry after wet play, refresh the wood now and then with a rub of beeswax or vegetable oil, use only mild dish soap if needed, and never the dishwasher.
